Learn, Network, Buy & Sell Without Leaving
Your Office
The industry that started little more than 10 years ago with prepaid calling
cards and gift certificates has expanded to include a wide variety of goods
and services. Analysts estimate that the industry already accounts for
transactions of more than $200 billion. Some applications have been developed
to meet the needs of specific consumer groups, such as the unbanked, while
others such as gift cards have been used at least once by a very large percent
of all people.
While
many aspects of this industry are of interest to only a portion of the people
that trade in this space other aspects such as regulation, technical standards,
and distribution should be of interest to all players. Several trade shows
and conferences have emerged to specifically serve these needs and other industry
events have included prepaid topics on their agenda. However, until now
it has become increasingly more difficult for one event to adequately serve the
needs of all vendors and delegates. Also, when travel expense and time
constrains are considered, it is nearly impossible for a venue based event to
please all people all the time. To meet these needs, The Prepaid Press announces
its “Opportunities in Prepaid: A Virtual Conference and Expo.”
Virtual Conference
Like venue based events, the event will have an agenda where speakers and delegates
can meet electronically to exchange information at a specific time. People participating
in live events will have an opportunity for Q&A and network as they would
at a venue based event. In addition we will provide addition features,
such as participant databases that will allow a dialogue
to continue even after
the allotted time slot has expired.
Unlike venue based events, presentations will be available after the live event
- for people who have a time conflict. Furthermore, live events will be
presented over several days, thus, eliminating the needs for multiple, concurrent
tracks. Every track will have its own time frame. All presentations
will be available in PDF format only to conference participants, where allowed
by speakers. Keynote speaker presentations will be available in streaming
video.
Virtual Exhibit Hall
Display booths at the virtual exhibit hall will operate like any venue based
booth with the major exception that they will be available to participants 24/7
for a full 180 days from the start of live conference presentations. Vendors
will be able to offer a full range of sales materials and can interact 1 on 1
with delegates. Delegates can walk the trade show floor and visit a vendor by
clicking on a vendor’s display. As an added feature Vendors can provide
live product demos at specific times with Q&A from potential customers.
